Holy Crap This Is Awesome

Taylor Ketchum – Vice President

Day 2 started off at 5:30 a.m. I can thank the time zone change for that. My body still thinks I am in Oklahoma. So I headed next door to grab a coffee before the sun came up.

No crazy traffic today, so I pulled up to Facebook and my first thought when I saw the campus was, "Holy Crap This Is Awesome." It is so clean, organized, but very welcoming.

We are in Building 15, and it is pretty awesome. They have tons of cool features and wall displays.

See below:

Of course, the Facebook Wall. I did a Facebook Live you can check out when I signed the wall!

A popular spot during sessions with the Instagram hideout!

The first speaker of the day was George Lang, who is an Artist in Residence for Instagram, but so much more. If you follow me on Twitter, you will see that I pointed out that he actually is the only photographer to have a staged photograph of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

Early in the day they had a session with a few Instagram experts and boy did this crowd have questions for them. They got grilled more than any other speaker. Brands, non-profits and agency reps (like me) wanted to know what was coming, why so many Facebook features, such clickable links & the ability to have more than 5 profiles - have not made the transition to Instagram. The main response is, "We are working on it, but we have no announcements."

They did get a shout out though, thanking them for the ability to log in and out of multiple Instagram counts without having to sign out. This was a BIG DAY for me and my team at Jones PR.

I met some awesome people, in fact, met a native Oklahoman who now is in Dallas working for Frito Lay. We chit chatted about the growth of OKC and how the community has really changed over the last 10 years.

I can't wait to dive in and share the great information I am learning. But I want to digest it more and present it a fuller package with visuals. So stay tuned in, I will be sharing the tips, tricks and ways I plan on using these tools for my clients.

Until then,

Taylor
