Derek Duty is a senior director at Jones Strategies, bringing more than 15 years of experience in marketing, brand building and sales strategy to help clients achieve meaningful growth. His approach combines creative problem-solving with strategic insight, consistently delivering work that resonates and drives results.

 

Before joining Jones Strategies, Duty served as general manager and director of sales and marketing at WanderFolk Spirits, where he played a key role in elevating the brand to state and national prominence in the craft beverage industry. He led high-profile partnerships, including an officially licensed collaboration with the University of Oklahoma Athletics, while developing campaigns, trade activations and consumer experiences that generated both awareness and measurable impact.

 

Duty previously held leadership positions at Anthem Brewing Company and YETI Coolers, where he developed expertise in distribution strategy, brand storytelling and market development. These roles provided a strong foundation for his ability to connect innovative thinking with business outcomes.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and sociology from the University of Oklahoma, a background that informs his understanding of both audience behavior and effective messaging.

Outside of work, Duty is a dedicated husband and father who values time with his family. He is also an avid music enthusiast and lifelong sports fan, supporting the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
