David joined Jones PR as an Account Executive for the Corporate Communications team in July. In this role, he works with a variety of clients in professional services with business-to-business models. David also provides editorial oversight to The Oklahoma 100, a content marketing platform.
With a background as a reporter and digital editor for the McAlester News-Capital and the Ada News, David brings experience as a seasoned journalist to Jones PR. He is a nationally recognized writer for his work in both news and editorial writing in the state of Oklahoma. In 2016 he was given the Society of Professional Journalists’ Sigma Delta Chi award for public service journalism and his service to the American People. In 2017 he received national recognition for his movie review column “The Reel Dish” after winning first place in the National Newspaper Association’s annual awards. The Oklahoma chapter of the Associated Press named David the state's "Best New Reporter" of 2016.
David brings the same work ethic and attention to detail to his work with Jones PR that brought him success in the field of journalism.
He studied at the University of Missouri at the prestigious Walter Williams School of Journalism. He graduated in 2012 and enjoys returning to Columbia to visit friends and attend Mizzou football and basketball games.
When he isn’t working, David can be found exploring Oklahoma one hole-in-the-wall restaurant at a time, pretending to be Russell Westbrook while playing pickup basketball and frequenting movie theaters. He grew up in Colorado and enjoys going home to visit family — to ski during winters and hike during summers.
