Most will pick a typeface simply based on how it looks. But where typography is concerned, function often trumps form.
Before picking a typeface for your next logo, publication or website, consider these things: Does it convey the tone or personality of the application? Is it legible at any size or does it have the right width for content? How does it pair with other typefaces? Does it have a complete character set or even go above and beyond with ligatures and special glyphs to fulfill all your typographic needs?
Choosing the right typeface is essential for successful graphic design.
