In our downtown building, Court Plaza, we recently discovered a treasure only three floors above Jones PR – a full collection of hardbound copies of The Oklahoman and The Oklahoma City Times dating back to the 1920s.
After inquiring with building manager Neil Stanfield, we learned the treasure trove is owned by Oklahoma City business and civic leader Jim Tolbert. He acquired the collection ten years ago and at times has provided front page reprints for Full Circle Bookstore customers upon request.
Jim Tolbert’s vision is to find a permanent home for this one-of-a-kind collection of Oklahoma stories.
