11 Stranger Things PR Professionals Can Do To Increase Client Satisfaction
Suzanne Singleterry – Vice President
Think about the client as a person rather than a science experiment
Learn what keeps clients “up at night” – what turns them upside down?
Find the best way to communicate with them – call, text, email or other creative means
Take time to understand the clients’ worlds – company culture, business and industry as a whole
Meet with clients more often to better understand their issues and pains; then educate them on your services which can address them
Start every client meeting by asking how business is going
Listen to what they are not saying directly and work ahead to present a solution
Hunt down personal information, including birthdays, anniversaries, spouse’s name, kids, alma mater, favorite movie, who inspires them, if they like Eggos, etc.
Set expectations by giving more deadlines to clients and offering more accurate timelines
Ask clients if they are happy with your services – this might be scary, but it works.
Respond to client inquiries with an immediate acknowledgment/response – let them know they are not alone, and you are working to (strategically) come to the rescue!
